My dad had a r eally cool Mercury Topaz once.
Actually the string or 80's Rangers he had were cooler than that.

My parents had “cool” cars growing up, as did most of my family. Camaros, Novas, Firebirds, RX7s, Chevelles, Turbo Dodges, and many more.
I learned to drive on many of their cars, most of which were 400+hp.
Funny how now I find stuff like that utterly boring and overdone. I now lean to making “meh” vehicles fun and prefer to see “normal” things well kept than anything I grew up with.

So, you’re rebelling against your parents.

At 32 with 3 children of my own, I don’t think that’s the case.....

Heck, I’m still rebelling against my father’s fiscal responsibility at age 47.

Funny enough, we are better off financially than my parents are, even today.

My dad had a 67 Camaro but sold it just before I was born. So I hear ya.

My dad traded his ‘62 Corvette on a Plymouth Valiant because he couldn’t fit his golf clubs in the trunk.
I traded the love of my automotive life, an ‘86 Civic Si, on a ‘92 Chevy S10 in 1997 and have regretted it daily ever since.
Like father, like son I guess.
